Oh, Verna, as always your words are so honest and brave and piercing and clear. I watched that entire video and was blown away, realizing how resilient I actually am but also how much I have to learn. Thank you. And so much love your way as you continue to grieve and to live.

Verna, glad to see your blog again. I appreciate your honest writing and insights. Like you, Buddhist teachings have helped me get through difficult times. The other books I turn to are books about nature, because that's my spiritual refuge.

Good to hear you are back into books. Spiritual books of all sorts have always helped me get back on a path moving forward. It doesn't mean I went quickly, far from it but it offered solace and focus. It helped me while I preferred to live inside myself rather than this world. What has also helped me tremendously is finding an online community which offers everything you speak of about an inner journey. I started with them at their inception about 3 years ago and they have blossomed into something I very much cherish. It is a community of contemplative women all asking pertinent questions. This is NOT a religious group. Believe me I wouldn't be part of it. People do believe but this is a place where we can be ourselves no matter what your belief is and ask the questions needing to be asked. I would also say it is the first time in my life I have found a place I feel I belong. A place with intelligent women who support you and listen and encourage. The founder is just redoing the website but you can check it out here.... watch the video and see how lovely she is. Within the group are many sub groups which you might find your place as well. https://www.acontemplativelight.com/
